*Mary Kay Voxbox Review and Glamour Look*

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to post a review for the Mary Kay VoxBox I received from Influenster as well as post a picture of my glamour/starlet look since that was the theme of the VoxBox. For those of you who don't know Influenster is a site you can sign up for and qualify to test out and review different products for free. If you are interested in getting an invite just PM your email address and I will send you one.

Ok, so the theme was Mary Kay Influenster "Starlet On-The-Go"  and the kit came with:

  • Mary Kay Lash Love Lengthening Mascara in the color "I <3 Black"-$15.00 value
  • Mary Kay Lash Primer-$15.00 value
  • Mary Kay True Dimensions Lip Stick in "Pink Cherie"-$18.00 value
  • Mary Kay Cream Eye Color in "Violet Storm"-$22.00 value
  • Mary Kay Cream Eye Color/Concealer Brush-$10.00 value
I received all these products for free which is amazing since the total value is around $80! My favorite product out of all of them would probably have to be the lipstick..while the color was a little brighter then I like the texture was very moisturizing and creamy, which I feel is hard to find in a lipstick these days. The lash primer and mascara was also very nice just make sure to let the primer dry all the way to get the most volume/coverage when applying the mascara. The mascara is very lengthening but I do wish it provided a little more volume/fullness to the lashes, but it is a lengthening mascara so it does not claim to provide volume and thickness. This mascara would be great for someone with thicker shorter lashes who is look for length and not added thickness.  The concealer/cream eye shadow brush is amazing..I have been using it mostly for concealer and it has really helped my concealer go on more flawlessly. At first when I saw how dark purple the cream eye color looked I was a little nervous because I don't generally wear a lot of darker shades(I tend to stick to more neutral colors) but once I tried it out it appears a little more faded and lighter on and blends really well to achieve the shade you want. The eye color stayed on all day and did not crease, however I did use the elf  eye shadow primer with it which also may help prevent creasing. All in all I really enjoyed all of these products and would probably reorder them all just maybe some in different shades that better suit me.

and now *drumroll please*......My Starlet/Glamour inspired picture using the Mary Kay products I received

How I achieved this look:

  1. First I applied a moisturizer and foundation all over my face, then using my Mary Kay concealer/cream eye shadow brush I patted on my yaby concealer under my eyes, around my nose, and over any blemishes.
  2. Next I applied Elf eye shadow primer all over my lid and brow bone
  3. Then I took my Chella highlighter in the color "Ivory Lace" and highlighted the inner corner of my eyes, under my brow, as well as my bottom waterline.
  4. After that I patted Urban Decay in Midnight Cowgirl on the inner corner of my eyelid and underneath my brow.
  5. Then I patted on Mary Kay cream eye color in "violet storm" all over my lid
  6. Next I used NYX eyeshadow in "deep purple" for the outer corner of my lid and slightly in the crease, then I blended it out with my Sonia Kashuk super eye shadow brush.
  7. I then applied a black eyeliner, and curled my lashes using my Revlon Lash Curler.
  8. After that I applied my Mary Kay Lash Primer and let it dry for a few seconds,Then applied the Mary Kay Lash Love Mascara in "I <3 Black"
  9. Then for my brows I just used Anastasia Clear Brow Gel.
  10. For contouring I used NYC "Sunny" Bronzer and used NYX Blush in "Angel" on my cheekbones.
  11. After that I applied Boots No.7 Translucent powder to set my makeup.
  12. Then for the final touch I applied the Mary Kay Lipstick in "Pink Cherie"
